We are the UK Parliament’s only All-Party Parliamentary Group dedicated to promoting LGBT+ rights both in the UK and across the world.
The APPG for Global LGBT+ Rights membership includes parliamentarians across parties from both the House of Commons and House of Lords, united in a common aim to improve rights for LGBT+ people globally. We work with major UK-based LGBT+ charities and human rights organisations to identify political priorities on LGBT+ issues, and we advocate in the UK Parliament for positive change in the lives of LGBT+ people.
All-Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs) are informal cross-party groups that have no official status within Parliament.
We are currently conducting an inquiry into the relationship between religion and LGBT+ rights, and the role religious communities can play in advancing LGBT+ equality.
