The All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Global LGBT+ Rights launched a major report into breaches of LGBT+ rights worldwide on 14 April 2016. The report recommends a series of measures that the UK government, businesses and NGOs can take to enhance LGBT+ rights worldwide. Further information about the report, its evidence and the Government response, can be found here.
The APPG's next major inquiry will be on the relationship between religion and LGBT+ rights. You can find more information here.
The Officers of the APPG also agreed upon a paper on trans equality in the UK in 2020, entitled “Delivering Respect and Reassurance Around Trans Equality in the UK”.
APPG publications are not official publication of the House of Commons or the House of Lords. They are not approved by either House or its committees. All-Party Parliamentary Groups are informal groups of Members of both Houses with a common interest in particular issues. The views expressed in their reports are those of the Group (or Officers of the Group where stated).
